View of the Echo, UT ID: 67 | This file appears in: Echo, Utah: Gateway to the West Almost three years later, Andrew J. Russell passed through Echo in the fall of 1868 to document the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad, recording this view of Bromley's stage facility rotated 90 degrees from the newspaper woodcut. Behind Bromley's old station can be seen a new facility with more modern buildings, and at back center Union Pacific's engineer's office peaks through. Against the bluff men are hard at work building the railroad grade. | Source: Oakland Museum of California Collection, H69.459.1950. http://collections.museumca.org/?q=collection-item/h694591953 Download Original File SourceOakland Museum of California Collection, H69.459.1950. http://collections.museumca.org/?q=collection-item/h694591953 "View of the Echo, UT" appears in: Echo, Utah: Gateway to the West
